Scope
Boss Cleanup is a Mac cleanup and maintenance app published by AIGOCO Tech Platforms FZE LLC under the AIGOCO brand. This policy covers version 1.0 and later versions using the same services, whether you get Boss Cleanup from the Mac App Store or from aigoco.com. No Boss Cleanup account is required, and scanning and cleaning work offline.
Information on your Mac
Boss Cleanup scans folders on your Mac to find caches, logs, large and duplicate files, similar photos, apps and their leftovers, background items, and browser traces. All scanning, disk mapping, and cleaning happen on your Mac. File names, file contents, scan results, and browsing data are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
Your settings, ignore list, and the history used to undo the last cleanup are stored on your Mac. Your license and the free-version cleaning allowance are stored in your macOS Keychain.
Permissions you grant
Full Disk Access is optional. It lets Boss Cleanup read folders macOS protects, such as Mail downloads, Safari data, and other apps’ data, so it can find junk there. Without it, Boss Cleanup skips those locations. Boss Cleanup asks for your administrator password only when you remove system-level files, change system background items, or run maintenance tasks, using the standard macOS dialog. Boss Cleanup never sees or stores your password. Scan reminders are optional notifications scheduled locally on your Mac.
AI assistant
On Macs with Apple Intelligence, the assistant uses Apple’s on-device language model. Your questions, and the file names, sizes, and scan results it looks up to answer them, are processed on your Mac and are not sent to us or to any AI provider. On other Macs, a built-in guide answers from information included in the app. The assistant can only suggest a cleanup plan; nothing is removed until you approve it.
Purchases and licenses
On the Mac App Store, Apple processes your purchase. We do not receive your payment card or bank details. StoreKit provides verified transaction and entitlement information so the app can unlock, restore, and revoke access when appropriate.
When you buy from aigoco.com, our reseller Paddle is the merchant of record and processes your payment under its privacy policy. We do not receive your full card or bank details. Paddle shares your name, email address, country, and order details with us so we can issue your license, send it to you, and provide support and refunds.
We run a license server at licenses.aigoco.com, hosted on Amazon Web Services. It stores each license key with the buyer’s email address, name, number of Macs, and order number. When you activate a key, Boss Cleanup sends the key, an anonymous identifier for your Mac (a one-way hash that can’t be traced back to your Mac’s serial number or hardware ID), a label such as “Mac · macOS 26.0”, and the app and macOS versions. We use this only to limit each key to the Macs it was bought for, to switch off refunded keys, and to help you move a license to a new Mac. Boss Cleanup re-checks the license about every two weeks, keeps working offline, and sends nothing else. Deactivating a license in Settings frees that Mac’s seat. We keep license records while the license exists and as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Updates
Mac App Store copies are updated by Apple. Copies downloaded from aigoco.com check an update feed on aigoco.com. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and app version to our hosting provider. Boss Cleanup does not send scan results or a device identifier with update checks.
No analytics or advertising
Boss Cleanup contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no crash-reporting service. It does not request Apple’s advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites. Links to our website or checkout open in your browser, where the site’s own practices apply.
Support and deletion
If you email us, we receive the information you include and use it to respond. Deleting Boss Cleanup removes the app. Its settings and undo history remain in your user Library until you delete them, and your license remains in the Keychain until you deactivate it in Settings or delete it with Keychain Access. Apple and Paddle retain purchase records under their own policies. To have your license records deleted, email us; a deleted license can no longer be activated or recovered.
Children
Boss Cleanup is a general-audience utility with no accounts, chat, or user-generated content, and it does not knowingly collect information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information through support.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy when the app’s data practices change. The website’s own practices are described separately in the AIGOCO website privacy policy. For questions, email hello@aigoco.com.
